Spring 2025 Brass Band Auditions
Please read the following...
- Fall 2025 auditions for the JMU Brass Band will take place in person. (Audition Music can be found HERE.)
- Tuesday, August. 19 (7-9 pm) (cornets)
- Wednesday, August 20 (10 am-4 pm) (all others)
- Please pre-register your interest to audition below.
- While not a requirement for the audition, you are strongly encouraged to audition on brass band specific instruments (soprano cornet, cornet, flugelhorn, tenor horn, baritone).
- Each audition will consist of 2 prepared excerpts. You are expected to prepare each excerpt in its entirety. There will also be a sight reading portion of the audition.
- Audition selections should be prepared as close to indicated tempi as possible (where indicated).
